Passion for Teaching

Asyikin has been teaching for over 15 years in the School of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam. Her areas of expertise are Chemical Process Separation and Food Engineering & Processing. She believes that designing appropriate teaching and learning courses will let students learn in an enjoyable moment with better experience. She has designed a number of online courses (Massive Open Online Course MOOC and Micro-Credential) and implemented flipped classroom approach, blended learning initiative, reflective learning and gamification-incorporated learning to further strengthen her teaching strategies in-line with Education 5.0. She has been awarded the Best e-Learning Award for four consecutive years (2017 - 2020), Best MOOC Award 2019 for her Food Preservation Technology course, and Best Micro-Credential Award 2023 for her Distillation Process course. Her highest achievement was being awarded Anugerah Pengajaran in Anugerah Akademik Universiti AAU14  by UiTM.
